Terms of service.

By undertaking any treatments at Poise Permanent Makeup (Poise PMU) you are accepting all of the following terms and conditions.

Clients (“you”/”your”) 

  • You must be over 18 years of age

  • You must complete your client history form as accurately as possible as this indicates to the artist if you are a good candidate for cosmetic tattoo treatments

  • You agree to before and after photos to be taken during your procedure of the treatment area for our records only. 

  • You must arrive on time for your appointment, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment then the Poise PMU artist is within their rights to cancel your appointment, to enable the artist to be on time for the rest of their schedule

Poise PMU Artist (“we”/”us”/”our”)

  • We will exercise a high level of experience, competency and skill when performing treatments

  • We reserve the right to refuse our services eg. to someone who is not a good candidate for cosmetic tattooing 

Treatments & Results

  • All new cosmetic tattoo treatments (or colour refreshers past the suggested timeline between treatments) require a minimum of two sessions, occasionally more than two sessions are required to achieve a desired result 

  • All second/third sessions must be completed within 3 months from the date of the previous session

  • If you have previous cosmetic tattooing performed by a different technician then you will be assessed on a case by case basis on how to proceed and the costs involved

  • All cosmetic tattoo treatments, even though considered permanent in the skin, the coloured pigments are not deemed to last a lifetime and you accept that the colour needs to be refreshed as per our guidelines (usually between 12-24 months).

  • You must accept that the treatment results may vary between each individual due to conditions such as lifestyles, medication, medical conditions, skin tone, skin type and subject to ability to follow aftercare guidance

  • We will not be responsible for any effect on any existing medical or appearance conditions whether you knew about them or not prior to treatment.

  • If you are not happy with the final results of our services, you agree to advise us of this as soon as practicable but within 3 months maximum so we can offer a solution

Pigment Patch Test

  • You have the option to undergo a pigment patch test (a small amount of pigment ideally deposited in the same place where your future cosmetic tattoo would be placed), this is at a cost of $50 and needs to be conducted a minimum of 7 days prior to the treatment. A patch test will not always give conclusive results to an allergy from the needles or products used. Any reaction is extremely rare and allergies can present themselves hours, days, weeks or even years later. If you choose not to undertake the test, you release the artist from liabilities related to any very rare allergies or reactions applied to the treatment.

Booking Fees

Booking fees are necessary in order to operate our business effectively and efficiently

  • Booking fees are required for all first session and colour refresh treatments (no deposit required for second/third sessions)

  • The booking fee amount is $100 per procedure, this is required to be prepaid to secure your booking

  • Must be paid as soon as possible, if your booking fee is not made then Poise PMU reserves the right to cancel your booking

  • Are non refundable

  • Are able to be transferred to another appointment date only ONCE within a 6 month period from original booking date, as long as 48 hours notice is given, if you are within 48 hours of your appointment you will forfeit your deposit and be required to make another deposit should you decide to rebook

  • If you do not show for a scheduled appointment with no communication prior, you will forfeit your deposit and any future appointments will be required to prepay in full (including a new deposit)

Payment

  • The price you must pay including GST and any other charges, will be stated in New Zealand Dollars.

  • Treatments are paid for in full on the day of treatment less any prepayments (such as deposits, or extra payments made in advance)

  • Acceptable payment methods include; cash, internet banking transfer, eftpos transactions including credit card payments (except american express)

  • No refunds or compensation will be given for any services that have been completed or for treatments that are unable to be completed due to client choice

  • Prices are subject to change at any time.

  • If you fail to attend your second session within 3 months from the date of your first session then Poise PMU reserves the right to charge an additional fee on top of your second session price.

Refunds

  • No refunds or compensation will be given for any broken terms and conditions
