AFTERCARE

The first 7-10 days after your procedure are crucial for the healing process, the final result depends on how well you adhere to the aftercare guidelines.

After the procedure, expect a darker, more defined, and bold appearance, which will gradually lighten during the healing process. Within the next few hours, the pigment may darken further as it oxidises. Any redness usually disappears within hours, while swelling, especially around the eyes and lips, may take up to 48 hours to subside.

Around 5 days after the procedure, the top layer of skin will start to exfoliate, resulting in a gradual lightening and softening of the colour. The full healing process typically takes 6-8 weeks, during which the colour will continue to develop as the skin regenerates. During your second appointment, any necessary adjustments can be made to achieve the desired outcome.

Post Treatment Instructions:

For 3-4 hours after: Keep your head elevated for a few hours to aid in reducing swelling.

For 24 hours after: Use a clean pillowcase. For lips only: Avoid spicy, hot, or cold food and drinks touching your lips (you can use a straw for drinking). No kissing or smoking.

For 48 hours after: Keep the treated area (considered a wound) extremely clean. Only touch with cotton buds or makeup pads as instructed. Avoid exposure to airborne debris ie. household dusting.

For 7 days after: Avoid exposing the treated area to water, steam, and sweat. Refrain from moderate to heavy exercise, sun exposure, and applying makeup to the treated area. Clean the face around the treated area with fragrance-free makeup wipes or a damp face cloth.

For 7-10 days after: Do not scratch/pick/rub treated area. If possible, try to sleep on your back.

For 2 weeks after: Do not get any botox, filler, facials or peels in this period.

Ongoing: Ensure that cosmetic procedures like chemical peels and laser treatments do not come into contact with your treated area. To prevent premature pigment fading, avoid UV rays and skincare ingredients such as AHA, glycolic acids, and retinoids. It is recommended to apply sunscreen on brow and lip procedures.
